Jarring, Gunnar
(1907-2002)
   Swedish ambassador to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. He was appointed by United Nations secretary general U Thant in November 1967 as a special representative to assist in Arab-Israeli peace efforts based on the principles in United Nations Security Council Resolution 242 of 22 November 1967.
